Our passion keeps growing
The story of our vineyard is a story of kinship. The collaboration between the winemakers but also the care between the individual and the family, the respectful partnership between humanity and earth. For us, our family and our fellow humans’ wellbeing is directly linked to a balanced nutrition and the ecosystem that allows us to fill our plates and glasses. Each sip of our sparkling wines hints at our curiosity, creativity and driving need to perfect our production methods.
Our dreams took root from our relationship
The seed of an idea was planted early in our twenties, when we first experimented with winemaking during our science studies. Our respective careers as Information Security Engineer and Statistician allowed us to work in various parts of the world from Vancouver to the United Kingdom – but never far from a viticultural region to inspire us.
The ripening of a dream over years of discoveries
Our vision took shape through meetings with like-minded winemakers employing sustainable methods, significant research and wide-ranging tastings: our goal would be to protect and preserve the terroir while creating high quality wines using solely organic and biodynamic techniques. It took 14 years for our dream to ripen and we knew we wanted our vines to take root where we had ours, in a burgeoning viticultural region where land waited to welcome our concept and labour. The challenge was significant but exhilarating. Very early on, we realised Québec’s Appalachian Highlands’ pedology was ideal for producing sparkling wines, thanks to their climate and the soil’s acidity. The area is also the birthplace of the organic movement in Québec which made it the perfect place for our vision and our values to come to fruition.
Ten vintages later and we are still the only Québec vineyard solely producing sparkling wines. This first decade has been spent learning to know and truly understand our terroir and master the traditional sparkling wine methods. The next decade will be devoted to innovation, sustainable development and diversification.
